HAXTUN HOSPITAL DISTRICT MEDICAL STAFF

Medical Provider Services Expand to Meet Patient Healthcare Needs and Expectations

Two exceptional, qualified, caring and compassionate physicians have joined the HHD Medical Staff. Breck McCarty, M.D. and Craig McCarty, M.D. have very quickly transitioned into their new positions and are maintaining full patient schedules. Joining Colby Jolley, D.O., to create a three physician team creates significant advantages for the community. Together the team offers a broad range of skill sets, interests, and experiences that benefit individual needs and preferences. They maintain a strong emphasis on individualized care and prevention. They strive to know patients and their families personally while educating and encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

HHD is exceptionally fortunate to have Dr. Breck McCarty, Dr. Craig McCarty, and their son Jake join the Haxtun Community. Both physicians completed their Residency at Rapid City Regional Hospital Family Practice Residency, Rapid City, SD. Prior to their move to Haxtun, they owned and operated McCarty Family Medicine in Gillette, WY.

Dr. Breck McCarty also served as a physician/Medical Director of Gillette Reproductive Health and as a Family Medicine Hospitalist at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette. She enjoys the variety of patients and medical conditions that she sees working in the Haxtun community although pediatrics, geriatrics and women's health are special areas of interest. Dr. McCarty is most passionate about getting to know her patients, their families and being an integral part of their lives whether it's watching a child grow or providing end of life care. She likes to encourage her patients to "eat a well-balanced diet that includes fresh fruit and vegetables, stay active, and take time for yourself every day to do something you enjoy." She "appreciates getting to work intimately with all the HHD staff and is excited to become more involved in the community itself and for her son to grow up in Haxtun." She has many hobbies including travel, golf, volleyball, camping and fishing, reading, scrapbooking and socializing with friends.

Dr. Craig McCarty worked full time at McCarty Family Medicine as physician while also taking on the role of overseeing the day to day operations of the practice. Their large patient base required them to employ a large number of additional staff and the extra responsibilities that Dr. McCarty carried were very intense. He looks forward to simplifying the life of his family and feels that Haxtun provides them that opportunity. Dr. McCarty enjoys all areas of family practice medicine but he is most passionate about promoting public health and general well-being. His advice is to "stop smoking, eat right, get regular exercise and do something fun every day." He states, "My rural Colorado upbringing provides good common ground for interacting with our new community of Haxtun." He has many hobbies including mechanics, metal work, computers, literature, education, camping and fishing, hunting, and target shooting.
