Meet Dr. Morgan
With more than 30 years’ experience as a primary care physician, Dr. Morgan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Haxtun Health. She spent several of those years working at Yuma District Hospital, where she had a family practice and also taught family medicine residents and PAs.
Dr. Morgan first came to Colorado in 1996. She enjoyed her residency at Poudre Valley Hospital’s Family Medicine Center in Fort Collins and, apart from a three-year stint in New Mexico, has worked in the Centennial State ever since. Most recently, Dr. Morgan founded and operated a primary care practice in Eaton focusing on hormone balance optimization, which is crucial for overall health.
Dr. Morgan is mother to five young adult children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, sewing, crocheting and discovering new adventures that feed her creative side.

Dr. Dana is passionate about her patients’ wellness and wants them to feel their best by balancing hormone levels, which have become imbalanced due to many different reasons.
Virtual Hormone Replacement Therapy
Although Dr. Dana has moved out of state, she won’t be far when it comes to caring for her Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) patients. Dr. Dana will continue to see and treat patients virtually from our clinic locations in Haxtun and Fleming. This means you can still receive the same expert, compassionate care you’ve come to rely on, just with the added convenience of a secure telehealth visit. Dr. Dana will be tele-visiting every third Friday of the month.
Whether you’re managing menopause symptoms, exploring HRT options, or continuing your personalized treatment plan, Dr. Dana is here for you, virtually and seamlessly. If you have any questions or would like to schedule your next virtual appointment, please contact our clinic at (970) 774-6187.
Common Reasons Women Use HRT
Menopause Symptom Relief:
- Hot flashes
- Night sweats
- Vaginal dryness and discomfort
- Pain during intercourse
- Mood swings and irritability
- Sleep disturbances
Bone Health:
- HRT helps prevent bone loss and reduce the risk of osteoporosis and fractures, which become more common after menopause due to lower estrogen levels.
Urinary and Sexual Health:
- It can improve urinary incontinence and vaginal atrophy, enhancing quality of life and sexual health.
Premature Menopause or Ovarian Insufficiency:
- Women who experience menopause before age 40 or have had their ovaries removed may use HRT to maintain hormonal balance and protect long-term health.
Improved Quality of Life:
- Many women report better energy levels, mental clarity, and emotional well-being with HRT.
However, HRT is not suitable for everyone. It carries risks such as increased chances of blood clots, stroke, breast cancer, and heart disease, depending on the type, dosage, and duration of therapy, as well as individual health factors.
