Haxtun Health’s Orthopedic Clinic treats patients of all ages and activity levels. The clinic provides complete care, from initial diagnosis to ongoing rehabilitation services, as well as surgery when needed.

We have a strong orthopedic surgical network and will connect patients to the right surgeon for their particular condition. Pre-operative and follow-up care for surgery can all be done right here at Haxtun Health. The Orthopedic Clinic offers the latest techniques and treatments to ensure a speedy and healthy recovery.

About Andrew Stieb, PA-C
Andrew Stieb is a certified orthopedic physician assistant who sees patients at Haxtun Health for general orthopedic exams in order to help diagnose problems. He may also order and read diagnostic tests on-site when necessary and help facilitate a patient care plan of action to get patients back to optimal health through rehabilitation or surgical procedures.

The Laser & Vein Care Clinic at Haxtun Health offers free vein consultations and a plan of care for new patients that could include minimally invasive procedures right here in our facility.

About Dr. Timo Quickert
Dr. Quickert has more than 10 years of experience in interventional radiology and specializes in vascular and pain intervention procedures. His extensive training and experience make him an expert in minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of varicose veins and acute/chronic pain. He and his staff have developed expertise, understanding and empathy that they extend to each client.

Dr. Quickert holds a monthly clinic at Haxtun Health. During this time, he schedules free vein consultations, reviews ultrasound results and performs several types of treatment for varicose veins including Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT) procedures.

Endoscopy procedures at Haxtun Health provide convenience for minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical procedures close to home. Dr. Charles Frankum specializes in both surgical and non-surgical care for structures of the lower digestive system, including the intestines, colon and rectum. Routine ambulatory procedures such as hernia repair, colonoscopy and gastroscopy are done right here at Haxtun Health.

Conditions such as polyps, ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease and hemorrhoids can also be addressed in our clinic.

About Dr. Charles Frankum

Dr. Frankum’s desire to practice rural medicine is deeply rooted, as both of his parents hail from rural areas in the South. His father was also a general surgeon in the 1950s.

Frankum grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and attended medical school at the University of Tennessee from 1991-1995. After receiving his medical degree, he attended Georgia Baptist in Atlanta Georgia for General Surgery, followed by a one-year Colon Rectal Fellowship with Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates.

In 2001, Frankum moved to Denver, where he practiced medicine at Presbyterian St. Luke’s and St. Joseph’s Hospital. In 2002, he began his rural surgical medicine practice in Springfield, Colorado. He has solely been practicing rural medicine since 2004 and serves the Colorado communities of Hugo, Yuma, Haxtun, Mead and Springfield, along with the Kansas communities of St. Francis, Tribune, Leoti and Hugoton.

A DPM is a specialist in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of lower extremity disorders, diseases and injuries. DPM’s are commonly known as Podiatrists. They are uniquely qualified among medical professionals to treat the lower extremities. Podiatrists utilize x-rays and laboratory tests for diagnostic purposes, prescribe medications, order physical therapy, sets fractures, and perform surgery. As part of a healthcare team, the DPM works closely with other health professionals to treat and control disease.

About Dr. Jacob Stuart

Jacob Stuart, DPM, is a foot and ankle surgeon officially recognized by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Santa Barbara, with a major in Biochemistry. He went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Western University College of Podiatric Medicine in Pomona, California. He completed a three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency program at Botsford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, focusing on forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, wound care, limb salvage, and podiatric medicine.

Dr. Stuart is a Southern California native originally from Moorpark, California. After being a frequent visitor to Colorado over the years, he is now pleased to call Colorado his home. He enjoys participating in both summer and winter activities while maintaining a healthy balance between his personal and professional life.

Haxtun Health is thrilled to welcome Dr. Jacob Stuart to our specialty clinic lineup! Every month Dr. Stuart will visit the Specialty Clinic located at the Haxtun Health facility.
