Speech and Occupational Therapy at Haxtun Health
We are taking a closer look at two essential service lines that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients: Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy.
Speech Therapy
At Haxtun Health, we're proud to have Linda Falk, MS, leading our Speech Therapy program. A Haxtun native with over 30 years of experience, Linda brings both deep expertise and heartfelt dedication to her role. She evaluates and treats patients across the lifespan, from toddlers just beginning to speak to seniors managing complex cognitive or swallowing challenges.
Linda's services include therapy for articulation, language development, voice, memory, and swallowing disorders. She is also trained to perform modified barium swallow studies, a specialized diagnostic tool that helps identify aspiration risks and guides treatment for safer swallowing. This is especially important for patients recovering from stroke, surgery, or neurological conditions.
Linda is particularly passionate about working with children. "The initial three years of a child's life are crucial for speech and language development," she explains. "During this period, the brain is highly receptive to learning new skills, including communication." Early intervention through speech therapy can significantly influence how a child's brain develops, laying a strong foundation for future learning and social success.
Linda sees patients at both the Haxtun and Fleming Clinics, making it easier for families across the region to access her services.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapist Josh Corbin brings over 32 years of experience to Haxtun Health, and as a Colorado native, he's no stranger to the values that define our rural communities. His specialties include hand therapy, wound care, pediatric OT, sensory processing, autism interventions, visual perceptual retraining, and return-to-work programs. He also provides incontinence retraining, home safety evaluations, and caregiver support for individuals with dementia or physical limitations.
Josh sees patients exclusively at the Haxtun Clinic, where he plays a key role in our flexible care model, ensuring timely therapy for patients transitioning from hospital to home, including those in swing bed placements.
"There's something deeply rewarding about serving in a town where hard work isn't just a value, it's a way of life," Josh shares. "As a therapist, I see the strength and resilience in every handshake, every story, and every small victory. Working with people who give their all, whether in the fields, in their homes, or in their recovery, reminds me why I chose this profession in the first place."
Coming Together
Both Linda and Josh work closely with our interdisciplinary team in our modern therapy space, designed for comfort, movement, and healing.
