Sports Physical Exams for the 2023-24 Season

Haxtun Health understands just how busy summer schedules can be for parents and student-athletes. That’s why, this year, we have dramatically increased the number of sports physical clinics throughout the summer months!
We have several days reserved for sports physical exams, mornings and evenings, in both Fleming and Haxtun.
CHSAA requires ALL High School Athletes to complete a sports physical before participating in organized high school sports. Sports Physicals are basic exams that students simply pass or fail. The exams only skim the surface of a growing teenager’s health. Sports Physicals are offered at $25 Cash Pay (not covered by insurance). Appointments are not necessary.
Well Child Checks
Although the sports physical meets the requirements set by CHSAA to get our students onto the court or field each year, it only skims the surface of an individual’s health. Haxtun Health is here to help our students kick off the school year with a healthy start. As an alternative to the basic sports physical, we strongly encourage students, and their families to schedule a Well Child Check (WCC). This type of appointment provides a more thorough examination and can ultimately keep student-athletes and their guardians more in tune with their overall health. The WCC encompasses all aspects of an individual’s health, diving much deeper into the overall wellness. WCC can be scheduled throughout the year and are typically covered by insurance.

WCCs that are completed during June, July, & August earn the students’ classroom a donation from Haxtun Health.
