What’s in store

Overview
Haxtun Health’s Girl’s Night Out event is more than just an evening of learning; it’s a celebration of women’s health and a chance to foster a supportive community. The topics covered are crucial for every woman, and the insights provided by our esteemed speakers will be invaluable. One of Haxtun Health’s Specialty providers, a general surgeon, Dr. Megan McKenna, joins the night’s guest speakers to educate on gut health and will delve into how our digestive system impacts our overall health. She will also be addressing how her Ageless Aesthetics salon in Wray is helping women feel their best through services like Botox, which not only enhances appearance but also offers health benefits such as headache treatment.

Dr. Lila Statz’s walks us through her breast cancer journey is expected to be both moving and enlightening. Her dual perspective as a patient and a provider will provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and triumphs associated with breast cancer.

Wendy Evans, MSPT will provide a brief overview of the pelvic floor’s anatomy and its crucial role it plays in women’s health. She will also guide attendees through a series of practical exercises designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which can help with issues such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and sexual health.

We are thrilled to announce that Lauren Gerk, CRNA will join the speaker lineup to discuss the topic of pain management, adding another layer of valuable insight to the evening.

The evening will also include a segment on general preventative care and screenings, led by Reba Bean, a physician associate. This session will emphasize the importance of regular health check-ups and early detection in maintaining long-term health.
