Haxtun, CO— 11/25/2020 Haxtun Health CEO Dewane Pace met pilot Braun Mincher at the airport this past week to pick up some much-needed Personal Protective Equipment for Haxtun Health. Included in the PPE were gowns, gloves, face shields, and N-95 Respirator masks. The shipment was thanks to Project Cure and Delivered by Angel Flight coordinated by the Colorado Hospital Association.

The Pilot, Braun Mincher has an interesting connection to Haxtun Health; his father was the General Contractor responsible for the construction of the West Wing of Haxtun Hospital, completed in 1990. Braun said that he made many visits to Haxtun while his dad was ‘building the hospital.’ His father told him that Haxtun Hospital had the only 2-story elevator for miles around and that school children would come on tours to see the elevator when they completed the construction. The Haxtun Health Administration Building entrance showcases a plaque with Mincher Construction, Inc. listed as the General Contractor. Braun said his father is now 90 and was happy to hear that his son could help out a hospital that he helped build.
